Recording of Role Plays For the Role Play/s you are required to organise a person/s who will assume the role of your Manager/customer or as appropriate. Results/Reassessment You have the right to one re-submission per assessment activity (unless negotiated with your lecturer). The assessment outcome and feedback will be provided within 7 to 10 days of the lecturer receiving the work unless notified otherwise. BSBADM503 Plan and manage conferences BSBADM503 AA1 Pt 1 Plan and manage conferences You are a Personal Assistant to Mr Paul McCormack, the Chief Executive Officer of Bags R Us located in Adelaide. You have been asked to arrange and manage a one-day conference to promote Bags R Us and the new season range of leather handbags. In addition, Paul is keen to increase Bag R Uss share of the Italian retail market as well promote the new seasons handbag to Australian retailers. The conference is a part of International Fashion Week Australia. You are responsible for all the arrangements. There are a number of documents you will require at the end of this document which must be read prior to the commencement of the Assessment Activity (AA). Part 1 Plan a conference You attended the Conference Steering Committee meeting and the following are the notes you took from the Steering Committee which you report to: The target market for the conference is Italian and Australian retailers. It is anticipated that 40-60 people will attend. The conference will be for one day and there will be a formal dinner at night. The budget is $25,000 and you will have a team of 3 people to assist with organisation and presentations. The committee want the conference in the centre of Sydney and wish the venue to be reasonably up-market. The committee is very keen to get Ms Susie Burton, the owner of a very successful international retail export organisation to be the keynote speaker and there will also be 3 speakers from Bags are us. Ms Burton will present Promote your product in a digital world. Jason Rodrigues will present the new range of handbags along with a team of models presenting the handbags. Jill Pappas will present a session on how to merchandise the new range of handbags in a contemporary and exciting manner. The presentation will hands on with conference members preparing a mock display. The day will need to start very early ready for a 8.30 am start with Ms Susie Burton presenting the opening address. Panel session last thing in the day. People will then want to go back to their hotel rooms to rest and prepare for the evening dinner. Not too late a night as people have to travel the next day. Paul wishes to open the conference. He also wants some Australian businesses representing Australian fashion products in the foyer during the day. Role Play 1: You decide that the first thing you must do is clarify all the arrangements verbally.
