You will choose a COMPANY. You will briefly describe their business and decide which new foreign country this company should expand to. Do NOT choose your home country as the foreign country that the company will expand into. Choose a foreign country with a culture that is significantly different from that of the companys home country. This foreign country must be attractive enough for the company to enter and overcome the significant cultural differences. Please choose a country which you can find on the Hofstedes website (https://www.hofstede insights.com/country-comparison/) In your report, you will analyse various management challenges that may emerge due to cultural differences. This should include leadership, staff handling, communication with various stakeholders, ethics, negotiations with stakeholders, marketing, etc. You must apply various concepts and theories, such as Hofstedes cultural dimensions, Trompenaars cultural dimensions, etc. You must also provide recommendations. By week 3-4 you will have chosen the company and the country for your reports. Each report must be a piece of academic writing approx. 1500 words in length (excluding Executive Summary, references, and appendices) and complying with ICMS Style Guide. You must write concisely and organise your ideas carefully so that your report does not exceed the word limit. You are expected to be able to decide how to best structure your report and present your arguments. Please do not focus too much on providing general explanations of theories and concepts. Appendices can only be used to provide brief additional information such as tables, graphs, and images. Excessive use of appendices is not acceptable. Further instructions will be provided in class.
